Salsa Horsethief Carbon Frame

Horsethief is a versatile trail bike designed to handle everything from local singletrack to new destinations. It delivers the capability to push through technical terrain with confidence while maintaining aggressive riding performance, all while complementing beautiful scenery and post-ride relaxation. The frame features carbon construction with Split Pivot suspension design, delivering 120mm of efficient travel that remains fully active under braking while providing support throughout the entire range. This pairs with a 140mm suspension fork for balanced capability across varied terrain. Geometry is optimized for descending confidence with a short stem, long top tube, and 67-degree head tube angle, while maintaining a balanced wheelbase length and excellent slow-speed maneuverability. The Super Boost 157 x 12mm rear hub spacing combined with a standard width bottom bracket results in a 432mm chainstay length, which is 5mm shorter than previous generations. The frame includes two full-size bottle cage mounts inside the front triangle on all sizes, allowing pack-free riding when paired with Anything Bracket and Rescue Roll accessories. A rear Flip chip adjusts head tube angle and bottom bracket height to accommodate different terrain, wheel sizes, and personal preferences. Wheel and tire clearance accommodates multiple combinations: 27.5 x 2.8 - 3.0" and 29 x 2.2 - 2.6". The frame comes equipped with a Fox DPS Performance Elite rear shock, rear thru-axle seat collar, and Cane Creek 40 headset.
